"We have four output centers, using different technology," he says. The
first is wide format, employing HP Scitex solvent printers. The second is
a photographic process for high resolution point of purchase (POP). The

An Industry
Organization is Missing
Without fanfare, the North American
Graphic Arts Suppliers Association (NAGASA) quietly went out of business
in July 2006. Dating back to its founding organization, NGADA, this
organization was 25 years old. Many didn't know that this occurred, or
that the association even existed. Personally, we will miss the
opportunity that NAGASA represented, as no other organization serves the

A Magnetic Personality
Magnetic and vinyl vehicle signage
seems to be everywhere. But Typestries Sign & Design of Manahawkin,
NJ, has been producing it since they opened for business in 1996. "Just
starting out, we did mainly the lower cost type of jobs, which meant,
ironically, making a lot of magnetic signs," explains owner Rick
McDonough. Typestries, which he started with his wife Krissy, specializes
in cut letter signs for buildings as well as flexible signs such as
