Each year Digital Output asks readers to weigh in on new products and technologies. We do this by compiling the responses from you about all of the products mentioned in our editorial copy throughout the year. This includes Web site hits and Reader Service cards, requesting information about products seen in our New Products section, trade-show reviews and other stories in the magazine.
The most popular products make our Readers' Choice Top 50 list. These 50 products represent all facets of the printing industry – Capture, Creation, Output and Finishing.

CREATION KPG’s Monitor Proofing Kodak Polychrome Graphic's Matchprint Virtual Proofing pushes the technology envelope of precision color display. It features accurate viewing of CMYK color on RGB computer displays and consistent color monitor-to-monitor, monitor-to-hard-copy and location-to-location. It allows for collaborative or individual viewing of original files from a Matchprint Virtual viewing station and improves communications. Clients can make annotations and markups to proofs online and the system will automatically send e-mail notification of project progress to all team members.
CREATION Glen Raven Fabric Media Collection Glen Raven Custom Fabric LLC introduced a collection of printable fabrics, featuring three different fabric weights and constructions. The collection consists of a 3-ounce sheer polyester, called Poly Light 3; a heavyweight polyester, called Poly Oxford 8; and an inkjet version of a solution-dyed acrylic with a natural canvas look, called Sunbrella Inkjet 10.
OUTPUT Heidelberg Printmaster PM 52 Heidelberg's 20-inch press, the Printmaster PM 52, is available in one- to five-color models with a wide range of special accessories so that customers can tailor the press to their precise needs. The Printmaster PM 52 is positioned between the Printmaster GTO 52 and the Speedmaster SM 52. The Printmaster PM 52 works at a maximum speed of 13,000 sheets per hour, a maximum print format of 14.56 inches by 20.47 inches and a printing stock thickness from 0.0012 to 0.016 inches.
OUTPUT Mutoh Hybrid Printer Mutoh America's Inc. Toucan Hybrid is a flatbed printer for inkjet printing on rigid substrates that can be converted to a roll-to-roll printer for printing on flexible goods. When configured in flatbed mode, the unit accommodates rigid substrates up to 64 inches by 118 inches by 3.5 inches. Print speeds and resolutions (up to 720 dpi) will vary depending on the substrate. The Hybrid’s flatbed mode head-heights are adjustable to accommodate substrates from 0.08 to 3.5-inches thick. Lasers are used for precise head-height adjustment. As a roll-to-roll printer, it delivers print speeds of up to 800 square feet per hour. Priced at $149,995, the Toucan Hybrid includes installation and six-month on-site warranty service.
CREATION Screen ColorGenius DC Screen USA launched ColorGenius DC, an image-processing software package designed to maximize the benefits of using digital cameras in the prepress process. Unlike film-based images, which are subject to variables that can compromise clarity and color fidelity, digital images offer greater control and flexibility to produce the best content for the client. ColorGenius DC creates a new RGB workflow, converting RGB images imported from a digital camera to optimum-quality CMYK or grayscale images. It works by first setting the crop, rotation, color tone, density and sharpness parameters then converts source RGB files into standard RGB files. Finally, it converts those files into CMYK or grayscale images.
OUTPUT Presstek Applause Presstek's Applause thermal plates require no chemical processing or cleaning after imaging. They reduce prepress and make-ready time, and are environmentally friendly. The plates have a high consistency between images and between runs, ensuring the highest quality image possible.
CREATION 3M Piezo Inks The 3M Commerical Graphics Division announced its new line of 3M Piezo Inkjet Ink Series 2600UV, a line of flexible, UV-curable piezo inks. The inks can conform to compound curves and will print on a wide range of substrates. The finished prints maintain their color and are weather-resistant. They come in the standard CMYK, plus a light magenta and light cyan.
OUTPUT Vutek PressVu UV 200/600 Available as a four-or six-color model, the PressVu UV 200/600 flatbed printer prints 600-dpi resolution for photographic color reproduction on roll-to-roll and rigid substrates up to two meters wide. Those substrates include exotic materials such as glass, wood and metal.
The printer is suitable for both outdoor and indoor applications, prints up to 350 square feet per hour, allows for fast changeover between rolls or sheets for two-printer-in-one capability, sets up in minutes with a single operator and offers millions of colors at the click of a mouse.
Applications include point-of-purchase advertising, posters, backlit displays, bus shelters, long-term outdoor graphics, exhibition graphics, display graphics, banners and signage.
CREATION Mohawk Color Copy Mohawk Paper Mills Inc. introduced a line of color copy papers – Mohawk Color Copy.
The line incorporates the company’s Digital Imaging Surface technology – present on both the coated and uncoated papers. The line includes the new Color Copy Premium, Color Copy 96, Color Copy 100 percent Recycled and Color Copy Gloss.
CAPTURE Kodak ProSLR/n The KODAK Professional DCS Pro SLR/n digital camera boasts 14 megapixel-resolution and a total selectable ISO range from 6 to 1600 with a calibrated ISO from 6 to 800, using RAW, JPEG, ERI JPEG files; and a non-calibrated ISO from 1000 to 1600, using DCS RAW files. The DCS Pro SLR/n offers a full-frame 35mm-size CMOS sensor for extremely high-resolution images – 4,536 by 3,024 pixels – with no focal length magnification effect. Equal in size to 35mm film, the focal length magnification is 1:1 so lenses work like they did with film.
CAPTURE Nikon Coolscan Nikon’s next generation of Coolscan desktop film scanners – the Coolscan V ED, Super Coolscan 5000 ED and the Super Coolscan 9000 ED – feature 4,000 dpi across the product line, a greater optical density range, faster processing speeds and an enhanced version of Nikon Scan 4.
The Coolscan V ED is designed for first-time scanner users. It has an optical resolution of 4,000 dpi and 14-bit A/D input conversion.
The Super Coolscan 5000 ED is designed with the needs of imaging professionals in mind, delivering 135/IX240 film scanning at 20 seconds per image at 4,000 dpi optical resolution. This scanner is targeted to small and medium-sized business users, including professional photographers, Web developers and photo finishers.
The Super Coolscan 9000 ED is a film-scanning solution for imaging professionals, designed to handle a broad range of film formats such as 35mm, 120/220, 16mm, 6 by 7 and 6 by 9 film, electron microscope and more. This scanner employs a newly developed 3-line CCD sensor, which contributes to fast scanning – 35mm: 40 seconds; 6 by 9: 185 seconds.
FINISHING Expanded Graphic Hanger Line Drytac Corp. rolled out an expanded line of basic hanging-hardware products for finished signs, graphics and art. For mounted foam-board presentations, the new Push/Pull reusable hanger features a five-prong design that provides maximum bite for a secure hold on any paper-lined foam-mounting board. These stainless steel devices feature locking hinges for quick installation in a variety of environments.
FINISHING Graphic Laminating Pouches Seal Graphics Americas Corp. launched its SEAL Mounting Pouches with SuperStick technology. The Mounting Pouches offer fast production of laminated rigid graphics from common-sized prints, using virtually any flat smooth substrate. The Pouches are comprised of a top layer of heat-activated laminating film and a layer of liner-less mounting adhesive. The two films are sealed at the top edge to form a pouch. Users simply insert their print face-up in the pouch, place the pouch on a substrate board and run it through a laminator with a top-heated roller. The Mounting Pouches are compatible with ProSEAL laminators and Seal professional series laminators, as well as competitive brand machines.
CAPTURE Microtek Microtek introduced the ScanMaker i300 and i900 scanners. The i900 offers Microtek’s PictuRescue software, which incorporates the Digital ICE (Applied Science Fiction) photo reconstruction software and Microtek’s Color Rescue, a color recovery tool. The i300 offers essentially the same software package as the i900, but is aimed at the consumer market with a slightly lower price point.
CREATION Wasatch Releases SoftRIP 5.1 Wasatch Computer Technology released the Wasatch SoftRIP Version 5.1. This new version of SoftRIP builds on the architecture of version 5.0 to provide complete command and control of an organization's production environment. From the artist's workstation to the completed print, version 5.1 provides a faster, easier more complete workflow.
At the core of SoftRIP 5.1 is the Live View Master Queues Screen, for users who want superior control of their queues without pausing their production for a single minute. With SoftRIP 5.1, users can control their RIP and print queues for four printers simultaneously and in real-time. They can use it to monitor the progress of jobs as they move through RIP and print queues, change job priorities, access cutting queues and even drag and drop jobs between print units.
FINISHING IPG Banner Stands IPG Imaging Professionals added a line of retractable, portable banner stands that provide a visual solution for point-of-purchase programs, building brand equity, promoting product identification and increasing customer message retention. The display is available in one or two-sided models, and in a wide variety of widths and heights. Setup and breakdown are simple, because graphics roll up or down in seconds.
CAPTURE Leaf America Leaf America and Hasselblad USA introduced the LeafValeo 22, a digital back designed to communicate electronically with the Hasselblad H1. The Leaf Valeo 22 utilizes a 22MP CCD measuring 36mm by 48mm, nearly the exact full-frame format of the H1. The 126MB 16-bit files produce more than 65,000 levels per color channel. The Leaf Portable Power Solution allows the system to operate using the on-board Digital Magazine with the capacity to hold more than 200 full-resolution, uncompressed images. The battery-powered solution mounts directly to the bottom of the Hasselblad H1 for easy integration.
FINISHING Liquid Laminate and Delivery System Avery Dennison Graphics Division North America and SEAL Graphics Americas partnered to produce Avery Graphics DOL Liquid Clear overlaminate and Avery Graphics DOL Delivery System, a compact, portable overlaminate application device. Ideal for short-term graphics with flat and simple curves, DOL Liquid Clear overlaminate has been engineered to dry in 15 minutes or less, and fully cures in 24 hours. It provides basic scratch, abrasion, water and chemical resistance.
The DOL Delivery System is a compact, portable machine that requires no special power, mounting device or ventilation system. Materials are manually fed into the machine and laid flat to dry. The system accommodates graphics up to 54 inches wide. These products are now available from Seal.
FINISHING Back-Lit Display Bowman Displays introduced its Revolution Light-Up Display Series, allowing users to feature three back-lit images in one rotating display. Offered in three sizes – 12, 24 and 36 inches – Revolution Light-Up Displays rotate four times per minute and feature UL components.
OUTPUT Solvent Ink Printer Tekgraf and Tiara Systems Ltd. introduced a new solvent-based inkjet solution, the TDS Opal II-64. The unit offers a wide color gamut and extended longevity, and prints at more than twice the speed of other comparable printers. The 2x CMYK LOD-HV enhanced bulk-ink system uses a one-liter bottle of ink for each of its eight colors. The TDS Opal II-64’s ink system is manufactured by Tiara’s parent company, Lyson Ltd. Lyson Pentachrome Inks use low odor, low hazard and environmentally friendly solvents that print and fast-dry directly onto a wide range of uncoated materials, including self-adhesive vinyl and scrim banners.

CAPTURE Digital Photo Organizer/Copier Alera Technologies' Digital Photo Copy Cruiser is a digital-image storing and organizing device. It supports disc spanning at no additional cost. Disc Spanning allows you to copy seamlessly photo files from one disc to the next, copying photo memory cards of any capacity. Now photographers can copy 1GB memory cards and larger.
Photos from each card can be added to the CD in multi-session format so the entire 700MB storage capacity of the CD can be used. The Digital Photo Copy Cruiser supports the following Digital Memory Card formats: CF Type I and II, SD, MMC, SM, MS, MS Pro and Micro Drive. Each package contains the Software Suite, a USB cable, a 100-240v, 50-60Hz power adapter and a users guide.
OUTPUT Canon imagePROGRAF W6200 Canon’s imagePROGRAF W6200 pushes speed as its main selling point, as this 24-inch pigment ink printer can output A1-sized prints in less than five minutes in standard (600 by 1200 dpi) mode. It uses Canon’s singular bi-directional head, MicroFine Droplet Technology and pigment ink solution.
OUTPUT Noritsu Laser Printer Noritsu unveiled the R2R-1100 PRO, a high speed, roll-to-roll digital laser printer, designed to accommodate high volume requirements. It is equipped with a laser exposure system and prints up to 12 inches wide with a resolution of 320 dpi. It has an estimated print speed of 1,624 4-inch-by-6-inch prints per hour, 1,387 5-inch-by-7-inch prints per hour, and 1,216 8-inch-by-10-inch prints per hour. The R2R-1100 PRO accepts 24-bit RGB uncompressed TIFF, JPEG and BMP files for input.
OUTPUT HP Designjet Line HP’s Designjet 30 and Designjet 130 printing systems are six-color graphic printers for the design, proofing and photography markets. The Designjet 30 is a B+ size graphics printer and the multi-format Designjet 130 is a 24-inch printer geared toward those needing a wider range of print sizes. HP’s dye-based ink formulations are designed for professionals with the rich color depth, gloss uniformity, color stability and consistency.
OUTPUT Durst Rho 160W Plus Flatbed Durst Image Technology U.S. calls its Durst Rho 160W Plus Flatbed UV Inkjet Printer/Press "the world’s first production inkjet printer to offer white ink." White ink means users can create a white background on non-white and clear media. Rho160 Plus users are also able to overlay white areas or detail, produce cleaner backgrounds, create more contrast in images, and give colors added "pop." No longer are media selections for certain applications limited by the fact that a white overlay or white background was unavailable or not technically possible.
OUTPUT Mimaki White Ink Mimaki introduced its white ink, a highly opaque ink with excellent performance on a variety of substrates, including transparent. The company also introduced several new ultraviolet printers. The UJV-110 is capable of printing at up to 1200x2400 dpi and uses the new white ink. The UJF-605C is a flatbed ultraviolet-inkjet plotter that prints at up to 1200 by 2400 dpi and also uses the white ink.
OUTPUT Epson Stylus Photo R200 Epson’s Stylus Photo R200 features the company’s micropiezo technology, a six-color photo ink system, resolutions up to 5760 by 1440 optimized dpi, ultrafine 3-picoliter ink droplets, borderless 4-inch by 6-inch, 5-inch by 7-inch, 8-inch by 10-inch and letter-size photo papers, supports PRINT Image Matching and Exif 2.2 standards, is Macintosh- and Windows-compatible with USB 1.1 ports on the front and rear, and prints directly on inkjet printable CD-R and DVD-R recordable media. The Epson Stylus Photo R200 costs about $99, and offers six individual ink cartridges and direct CD/DVD printing.
CAPTURE Fuji Photo Film FinePix S3 Pro Fuji Photo Film unveiled the FinePix S3 Pro – featuring its Super CCD SR sensor technology designed specifically for professional photography. Fuji tells us this proprietary technology creates, "a wider dynamic range to produce images that approach true photographic quality."
Fuji also announced the Fujifilm FinePix S20 Pro, a compact SLR-type digital camera featuring the company’s Super CCD SR, or Super Dynamic Range sensor that yields a 6.2 megapixel image and a Super EBC Fujinon 6x optical zoom.
CAPTURE Olympus Zuiko Lenses Along with rolling out the company’s Zuiko line of digital lenses for the E-1, Olympus America also touted its new C-8080 Wide Zoom this year. It has a lightning-fast start-up and shot-to-shot recycling time, courtesy of the TruePic TURB Image Processor. Add 8MP to the feature set for less than $1,000. Circle 78 on FREE Product Info Card
CAPTURE Konica Minolta DiMageZ2 Konica Minolta has added the DiMage Z2 to its digital camera arsenal – featuring a 4MP CCD and Konica Minolta all-glass apochromatic GT lens. The Z2 is equipped with a 10x optical zoom and a 4x digital and Rapid AF with Predictive Focus Control numbered among its feature set.
CREATION Lyson Bulk-Feed Ink Delivery Lyson announced the first bulk-feed ink delivery system with complete pigment and dye-based inksets for the Epson Stylus Pro 7600. The system comes with the promise to save 70 percent on ink costs versus cartridges, speed workflow processing and eliminate the time and hassle involved in changing cartridges. The combination of Lyson’s Fotonic dye-based inks and Lyson’s pigment-based Cave Paint provides a comprehensive ink offering for photographers using the Epson 7600.
Lyson also debuted its Darkroom range of photographic inkjet papers. Currently there are two papers in the Darkroom range: Archival Gloss and Archival Textured Matte. Archival Gloss is a 320 gsm semi-gloss paper that resembles fiber-based gloss papers like Kodak’s Kodabromide. Archival Textured Matte is a 220 gsm semi-matte paper with a slightly textured finish and sheen that mimics traditional fiber-based matte photographic papers.
CREATION ErgoSoft StudioPrint ErgoSoft released a scalable version of its popular StudioPrint product, a software package for digital photography and fine-art reproduction. StudioPrint, is now scalable to offer capabilities to a broader range of users. This stand-alone application is optimized for photography and fine-art reproduction. Commercial and fine-art photographers as well as fine-art print-makers with demand for high quality prints or layout proofs will enhance their image quality, color accuracy, and print volume with this non-PostScript workflow solution.
CREATION Transilwrap Cling-Mate Transilwrap Co. Inc.’s Cling-Mate URA multi-polymer alloy is a pressure-sensitive product that is long-lasting. It is a rigid printable plastic that is formulated for tear-resistance, with a removable adhesive backing. It can be offset or screen printed.
CREATION MacDermid Intros New Papers MacDermid ColorSpan Inc. has two new premium resin-coated photobase papers for use with its DisplayMaker line of wide-format printers; Satin Photobase PXS 9 mil and Glossy Photobase PXG 9 mil. The new media are constructed from a high-grade resin-coated 225-g/m2 photobase paper.
Designed and manufactured by ColorSpan’s Kilborn media operations in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the media is optimized for ColorSpan’s EnduraChrome dye inks and DisplayMaker 8- and 12-color printers. However, both are compatible with most other dye-based wide-format printers as well. The papers are available in 100-foot rolls in widths of 24, 36, 42, 50, 60 and 72 inches.
FINISHING Western Graphtec Heavy-Duty Cutter Western Graphtec Inc. introduced the FC3600 heavy-duty cutting machine for on-demand production of two and three-dimensional signs, stencils, gaskets, cardboard boxes and design samples. It is capable of cutting rigid or thick materials; using a Tangential Head, the FC3600 cuts through corrugated cardboard, rubber, leather, oil boards, rigid plastics and heat transfer films up to 0.28 inches. When the optional Oscillating Unit is installed, the FC3600 can cut materials such as polystyrene foam, styrene board and urethane foam up to 1.18 inches.
CAPTURE Creo Proofing Solution Creo’s Integris Desktop proofing solution was designed for professional color proofing. It is a 2-up/4-up system, and features a 17-inch Epson Stylus PRO printer integrated with Creo workflow software and consumables. It produces sharp text and fine color blends, with a maximum resolution of 2880 by 1140 dpi. A wide selection of media optimized for the system is available.
CREATION Corel Designer 10 Corel Corp.’s DESIGNER 10 delivers specific tools for technical drawing and ensures seamless file sharing. It includes: Precision Snapping so users can accurately specify locations in a technical drawing; editing tools to control transformations from one location; symbols that reduce the overall file size of illustrations; and CorelTRACE 11 to allow users to import scanned legacy raster images and diagrams, converting them to editable vector format.
FINISHING Pacific Digital POP Display Pacific Digital Corp.'s Wi-Fi and USB digital photo frame, with stereo sound and text overlay, is a new point-of-purchase display unit. The MF-810SW MemoryFrame has a bright 10.4-inch, TFT, active-matrix, flat-screen LCD with 800 by 600 resolution. It comes bundled with a Wi-Fi 802.11 receiver and a USB interface. In addition, it has stereo sound, which allows users to add voice and or music to the images as they are displayed, and text overlay, which allows users to add text messages over the images. The unit’s DirectConnect feature allows users to wirelessly transfer up to 80 photos and music directly into MemoryFrame.
CREATION Inkskin Topcoat Inkskin from Apex Graphic Surfaces LLC is a vinyl sign, liquid topcoat that is simple to use: Pour it on, spread it out, let it dry. Inkskin is self-leveling and leaves no brush marks. Inkskin is a 100 percent Urethane topcoat that gives vinyl signs outdoor durability, lasting gloss and color pop. It cleans up with water, has no volatile organic compounds and requires no application machinery. With Inkskin output is protected from fabrication, handling and plasticizer damage.
OUTPUT Roland Intros New Media Roland DGA Corp. introduced three new adhesive-backed vinyls in its Eco-SOL line. The three – one glossy calendered vinyl and two cast vinyls – use Avery’s Easy Apply adhesive, which reduces wrinkles and trapped air.
The 3.4 mil glossy calendered vinyl (ESM-GCEZ) is a durable uncoated vinyl. The two cast vinyls include glossy cast vinyl (ESM-PGEZ) and satin cast vinyl (ESM-PSEZ). These products are outdoor-durable. ESM-PGEZ is a 2-mil glossy adhesive-back vinyl with a bright white point and glossy surface. ESM-PSEZ is a 2-mil vinyl that has a low-luster finish.
CREATION Tango C2S Cover Stock Tango C2S, a double-coated, two-sided cover stock from MeadWestvaco Corp., enchances the look of annual reports, greeting cards, pocket folders, ad inserts, calendars, menus and book covers. The stock’s double-coating provides a smooth surface on both sides of the sheet for uniform ink holdout and consistent coverage with a fast drying time. Color fidelity for a range of hues, from vivid colors to dark ones, is accented by the stock’s bright white, high-gloss surface. The paper also resists curling and cracking. Tango C2S comes in a variety of sizes from 19 inches by 25 inches to 28 inches by 40 inches, and weights from 7 to 24 pt. It is also offered in a heat-set web.
OUTPUT Nur Printers NUR Macroprinters introduced the latest models in its flagship NUR Fresco series of wide-format production presses, the NUR Fresco II and a faster version of the NUR Tempo wide-format flatbed inkjet press.
The NUR Tempo can deliver output at up to 882 square feet per hour in four colors and up to 550 square feet per hour in eight colors.
The NUR Fresco II models will replace the NUR Fresco HiQ product line. The machines are based on the same platform as the original NUR Fresco machines, but add a new casing design (available with the NUR Fresco II 3200 models only) and a variety of new features.
CREATION Oracal Ultramirror Cast Oracal USA added Series 381 Ultramirror Cast to its film line. Series 381 is a 3.5-mil, self-adhesive cast film that features a smooth, printable surface and durable dimensional stability. This five-year film has a high-gloss surface and is offered in chrome and gold gloss. It is available in 15-, 24- and 30-inch punched, 48-inch widths, and 10- and 50-yard lengths.
CREATION Pantone ColorVantage Inks Pantone Inc. announced new PANTONE ColorVantage dye-based inks for the Canon brand of desktop printers, as well as expanded support for EPSON wide-format printers with its ColorVantage pigmented inks. PANTONE ColorVantage is a family of inkjet products that includes pigmented and dye-based inks, papers and specially developed printer profiles. The paper is available in a variety of finishes – high-gloss photo, semi-matte proofing, matte and fine art.
CREATION Agfa Media Agfa-Gevaert Group introduced a new range of microporous inkjet media for poster, display and sign printing. The new media are suitable for printing using the newest-generation pigment-based inks such as they are available from HP, Epson and Canon, but they offer image and color quality so far available only with dye-based inks.
The AgfaJet media are suitable for indoor and outdoor applications. They are waterproof, work with both hot and cold lamination systems, and dry instantly. In addition, they are optimized for both dye and pigment-based inks and can be used on most types of printers.
CREATION MACtac Vehicle Wraps MACtac introduced a series of new products in its vehicle wrap category. For digital imaging the IMAGin JT5000 Series offers a complete line of adhesive-backed digital vinyl films designed specifically for use with wide-format solvent inkjet printers. The IMAGin JT5529P series is an ultra-conformable film with a permanent opaque adhesive, ideal for compound curves and to fit over riveted and corrugated metal surfaces. For shops that rely on cut or CAS vinyl, there’s MACmark 9800PRO.
CAPTURE Contex Next-Generation Scanner Contex Scanning Technology’s CHAMELEON Sx 25-inch wide-format scanner features enhanced scan speed, high-image quality, fast monochrome and a full-color scanning upgrade option.
The CHAMELEON Sx 25-inch scanner speed is 4 inches per second in monochrome. With the upgrade to the PLUS, color scanning is available, capturing 48 bits of color data.
OUTPUT Scitex TurboJet Unit Scitex Vision launched its latest wide-format press – the TURBOjet. It is designed to meet the high quality, high-speed and low-cost printing demands of the screen-printing and offset industry. It offers impressive productivity and high-display quality images at the same time. This system is dedicated to retail and display applications, window and exhibition graphics, indoor and outdoor signage, as well as high-volume, low-cost applications like bus shelters and paper billboards.

It features a high throughput achieved with an advanced print head that allows high-speed printing, and new dryer technology that ensures quick dry time on a wide variety of media. It has a unique print-masking technique called Intelligent Mask Technology that maximizes each of the six ink colors.
FINISHING GBC Pressure-Sensitive Film GBC introduced Arctic Textured Satin and Arctic Light Barrier as a pressure-sensitive solution for trade-show graphics. Textured Satin has a scratch-resistant, crystalline surface to reduce glare and give a more vibrant appearance to prints. Light Barrier is an opaque pressure-sensitive backer. Both films are available in two thicknesses for various applications. Textured Satin comes in 3 mil and 8 mil, Light Barrier comes in 5 mil and 10 mil, and both come in either 38- or 51-inch rolls. These solutions are designed for use together for optimal results.
