ONYX Graphics SmartApps V1.2 Now Compatible with Adobe Illustrator
ONYX Graphics, Inc. today announced the release of version 1.2 of its SmartApps™ VehicleWraps and Sign&Banner plug-ins for Adobe® Illustrator®
software. This new version is compatible with Adobe Illustrator CS6 , and includes support for Microsoft® Windows® 8 and Macintosh® OS 10.8.2
operating systems. SmartApps plug-ins were recently on display in the ONYX Graphics booth at the International Sign Expo, April 4-6, in Las Vegas, NV.
“Lack of preparation tools available today force print service providers to fragment their design and prep workflow, significantly increasing turnaround
times,” said Kevin Murphy, President and CEO of ONYX Graphics, Inc. “SmartApps plug-ins simplify and combine design and preparation steps to
create a more cost-efficient and productive workflow in an application that is already familiar to them.”
SmartApps: RIP-independent and platform-friendly
SmartApps plug-ins cut production time and costs by optimizing workflow using existing design applications. Designed to help those who prepare files
for wide format printing, SmartApps plug-ins are application-specific, operating system independent (can be used on Macintosh or Windows platforms),
easy to use and affordably priced. They are complementary to any wide format RIP software – ONYX RIP software is not required to use the plug-ins.
SmartApps VehicleWraps plug-in gives users the ability to combine design and paneling of vehicle wraps within one application to streamline print
production and finishing. With the SmartApps Sign&Banner plug-in, users can prepare all aspects of a sign or banner including grommet marks,
bleeds and folds. Both plug-ins work right from within Adobe Illustrator software to provide useful tools in just a few clicks.
Compatible with popular operating systems
Version 1.2 of SmartApps VehicleWraps and Sign&Banner plug-ins also includes support for Windows 8 and Mac OSX Mountain Lion (10.8.2)
operating systems. This compatibility provides a seamless transition for users upgrading to these OS platforms, or purchasing new hardware with
one of these operating systems already installed.
