Xitron Launches Flexo/Packaging Workflow

Xitron, the leading independent developer of RIP and workflow products for the printing industry, is unveiling Navigator F/P, a prepress workflow and tool
kit designed specifically for flexographic and packaging applications. Continuing the Xitron standard of prepress independence, Navigator F/P is
compatible with virtually every output device used in flexographic and package printing companies worldwide.

“Looking at the high cost of software currently available, we recognize an opportunity to provide an economical alternative to a growing user base,” said
Karen Crews, President of Xitron. “Applications similar in scope to Navigator F/P are typically priced two to three times higher, putting them out of reach
for small and mid-sized environments.”

Navigator F/P combines the stability of the Harlequin RIP, the performance of the Navigator workflow, and the power of an Adobe Illustrator plug-in to
create film- or plate-ready artwork in logical, efficient steps. The Illustrator plug-in provides tools familiar to the operator while the intuitive workflow GUI
offers start-to-finish control over each job from any workstation.

Precise, automated step-and-repeat with bleed control, nesting, .dxf import, and custom bearer bars are part of the standard feature set in Navigator F/P.
Also included is integrated, raster-based trapping. Optional vector-based tools offering superior control and versatility are available.

Navigator F/P will be introduced to Xitron’s North American dealer network through a series of scheduled meetings. Latin American customers will be able to
find out more at ExpoPrint 2014 in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where Xitron will be part of the NPES stand, number 09-G.

Xitron Announces Navigator 10 Harlequin RIP & Workflow

Xitron, the leading commercial developer of Harlequin RIPs and workflows for the printing industry, today announced Navigator 10, the latest in the
Navigator family of Harlequin-based RIP and workflow solutions.

“Navigator 10 is a major milestone providing the latest in RIP and workflow technology to meet the challenging needs of prepress departments around
the globe,” said Eric Nelsen, Vice President, Product Management of Xitron. “Navigator 10 is being offered as a true 64-bit RIP for users that need to
handle larger and more complex file with speed and ease.”

Navigator 10 is based on the Harlequin RIP core technology from Global Graphics Software and will include:

· 64-bit binary program to run natively on Windows 64-bit operating systems

· Multi-threading rendering option for faster handling of PDF transparencies

· Parallel pages processing option to interpret one page while the previous page is being composited and rendered

· Variable data option to handle caching of pre-rendered and single-use elements separately
