Paradigm Imaging Group, the North American distributor for Colortrac, Ltd., announces a new data capture feature in SmartWorks Pro software. The new
data capture feature is included with Smart Works Pro version 1.3.2.0 and later, and saves up to 29 different pieces of information about the scanning
process. The ability to obtain scanning data is important in a variety of applications, especially Facilities Management, where capturing costs is crucial
in the pay per click environment.
Data from each scan or copy is added as a separate line entry to a single file for each calendar month. The files are not encrypted or hidden, and
can be extracted easily and exported to a simple Excel spreadsheet for processing.

and Colortrac Large-format Scanners

and document archiving solutions, introduced the ScanTrak FM, new cost/job tracking system for large-format
scanners at the IRgA 2005 Annual Convention and Tradeshow.
Control Systems Copitrak, the leader in Cost Recovery/Services, and Paradigm Imaging Group recently
entered into an agreement for Paradigm to distribute the ScanTrak FM, CopiTrak’s latest cost/job tracking
system, in the United States and Canadian markets. ScanTrak FM provides firms with the ability to track and
bill for all Scan to Print and Scan to File operations performed on the Graphtec and Colortrac series large-formant
scanners. In addition, ScanTrak can be upgraded to track any and all printing devices and can be expanded to
track copy, print, and scan jobs on any copier/MFP device as well.
When the ScanTrak FM is engaged with a scanning system, it prompts the user to enter a valid project code
upon initiation of scanning job for accurate tracking of entire project. Scantrak FM can be linked in real-time
with the firms’ accounting software to automatically import the active projects list for validation. If desired, the
Search feature can be enabled allowing users to search for a valid project number. ScanTrak FM also has the

dpi. The print heads incorporated in the JW1000 feature a high-precision, high-density nozzle placement
technology with 1280 nozzles per color (or 7680 nozzles combined), delivering a maximum print speed of 323
sq.ft./hr in draft mode and 129 sq.ft./hr in standard mode. With its superb output quality and print speed, the
JW1000 enhances the overall productivity of the EIS system. The EIS Flex and EIS Solo are made available
for those customers who prefer to integrate the system utilizing their existing large-format printers/plotters, where
the printer control is performed either through the integrated driver or Windows® driver (depending on the printer
/plotter models).
Paradigm Imaging Group, the U.S. and Canadian distributor of Western Graphtec scanners, offers six new large-
format scanners. The new CS600, CS500 and IS200 series scanners will meet the requirements of users in the
graphic arts, fine art, photography, pre-press, reprographics, sign, point-of-purchase, GIS, mapping, CAD, AEC
and document-archiving market segments.
With two models offered in each series, the CS600 and CS500 are 24-bit, full-color scanners, while the IS200
offers an 8-bit monochrome alternative for those who don’t need color capabilities. Each series offers a standard
or an advanced pro model.
The pro models include a high-quality scanning mode with interpolated resolution up to 4800 dpi, as opposed to
800 dpi for the standard models. The pro models also incorporate a high-speed scanning mode for quality image
output with up to 40 percent faster throughput than standard models at comparable resolution settings.
The CS600 and CS500 color scanners, and the IS200 monochrome scanners all feature maximum scanning
speeds of 9 ips in monochrome and 3 ips in 8-bit, 24-bit color when scanning at 400 dpi, making them the fastest
throughput large-format scanners currently offered in the market.
The CS600 is the only scanner of its kind that features a complete hands-free automatic thickness control function,
which automatically recognizes the thickness of the material being scanned without any user intervention.
All scanners are 42 inches wide.
