EFI and EFI Customers Win Big at Graph Expo
Foster City, Calif. - Oct. 23, 2006 - EFI (Nasdaq: EFII), the world leader in digital color servers, superwide
format printers and inks, and print management solutions, today announced significant Graph Expo (Oct. 15 -18,
Chicago's McCormick Place) show award wins for EFI and EFI customers. Five EFI products were awarded
coveted Must See 'Em awards, seven of the twelve PIXI (Printing Innovation with Xerox Imaging) for innovation
and excellence in digital printing applications winners are EFI Fiery® users, and 34 EFI Print MIS customers
have won PIA/GATF Premier Print Awards.

A panel of 15 leading industry consultants and trade magazine editors awards Must See 'Ems to the products

sixty identified as the most compelling by the judges and awarded Must See 'Ems. These awards include

Xerox PIXI Awards
EFI congratulates customers who have won PIXI awards, Xerox's multinational competition recognizing
innovation and excellence in digital printing applications. This year's PIXI Awards competition received more
than 300 global entries, the largest number in the competition's five-year history.
Customers who use EFI Fiery color digital print servers are winners in the individual categories:
Variable Print/One-to-One Marketing Communications
Astoria Graphics Inc., New York, first place for its "Fishing for New Business" submission, a personalized
direct-mail campaign. The piece, which received an 80 percent response rate, was printed on a Fiery-driven
Xerox iGen3 digital color production press.
Copygraph S.A., Buenos Aires, Argentina, third place for its "Libro Del Bebe" submission, a newborn baby kit
that includes a personalized book and calendar. The kit was printed on a Fiery-driven Xerox DocuColor 8000
Digital Press
American Greetings Corp., Cleveland, Ohio, second place for its "All Night Long Invite" submission, printed on
a Fiery-driven iGen3 digital color production press.
Short-run Digital Color
Salem State College, Salem, Mass., first place for its "Yen Vo Calendar" submission, which incorporates
photography and digital copying on heavyweight paper and is printed double-sided on a Fiery-driven Xerox
DocuColor 3535 Copier/Printer.
Sigma Marketing Group, Rochester, N.Y., second place for its "2006 Cement Mixer" submission, a three-
dimensional mailer resembling building materials, printed on a Fiery-driven Xerox DocuColor 240/250
Copier/Printer.
Hume Imaging Inc., Scarborough, Ontario, third place for its "King's Garden Menu" submission, a four-color menu,
printed on a Fiery-driven Xerox DocuColor 2045 Digital Color Press.
Digital Books and Manuals
Toppan Printing Company America, Somerset, N.J., second place for its "Dynamic Dynosaur" submission, a
hand-bound book printed on the iGen3 digital color production press. Toppan Printing uses the iGen3 integrated
with the EFI Logic Print MIS solution.

PIA/GATF Premier Print Awards
EFI also congratulates its Print MIS customers who were awarded Premier Print Awards by PIA/GATF at the

by PIA/GATF for outstanding accomplishments in the graphic communications industry. These awards were
created to encourage industry professionals to serve as models for others to emulate.
