Oracal Merges with LIG International, Inc.
(Jacksonville, FL) - In keeping with its long-range strategic vision to compete even more effectively as the
technological market leader, ORACAL USA announces that, effective July 01, 2006, LIG International, Inc.
(d/b/a. ORACAL USA, Jacksonville, Florida) and ORAFOL USA (Black Creek, Georgia), have completed a
corporate restructuring wherein the two corporations have merged.
The resulting company will be known as ORACAL USA, and will be responsible for product manufacturing,
distribution, sales, marketing, service and support throughout North America, Latin America and the Caribbean.
Holger Loclair, managing director of ORAFOL EUROPE, and Ben Philips, President and CEO of ORACAL USA,
will serve as CEO and President, respectively, of the newly formed company.
"As a result of this merger and the 2006 opening of our first U.S. production facility, we are now ideally positioned
to increase our market share by offering our customers an even wider range of products and services," said Ben
Philips. "By incorporating the best practices of our German manufacturing operation with our domestic sales and
service capabilities, we expect Oracal USA to be stronger than ever."
Completion of the first phase of the $45 million Oracal USA manufacturing facility in Black Creek, Georgia is
expected in the third quarter of 2006.
Following the merger, Oracal USA will maintain its corporate headquarters in Jacksonville, Florida, marketing a
technologically advanced line of pressure-sensitive graphic marking films, reflective films, digital media and
laminating films for use in signage, screen-printing, digital printing and traffic and safety applications. For more
