Alcan Composites USA Expands Dibond Line With New Ultra Marine
Blue Over Dark Green Color
ST. LOUIS, March 23 - Alcan Composites USA has expanded its line of Dibond® the Ultimate Substrate with
the new Ultra Marine Blue over Dark Green color in the popular 3mm thickness and 4-foot by 8-foot standard
sheet size.
Dibond is a rigid, durable aluminum composite material consisting of two pre-painted sheets of .012-inch aluminum
bonded to a solid polyethylene core a unique composition that makes it approximately one-half the weight of
aluminum. Dibond, the flattest panel on the market, offers a superior surface that protects expensive digital
and screen-printed graphics. Dibond won’t bow or oil can.
Ultra Marine Blue over Dark Green Dibond is perfect for creating signage, exhibits and displays. And, because
it is masked on both sides, this new color provides excellent durability in outdoor applications.
This product offers significant cost savings, ease of fabrication and rigidity when compared to other aluminum laminates.
"This new color has been added to the Dibond line to give graphic designers even more options to create
dramatic displays," says Mike McKitrick, product manager, Alcan Composites USA. "The Ultra Marine Blue
over Dark Green composite can be used to add a colorful finish to everything from direct printed graphics to
mounted images without the labor and material costs associated with the lamination step required with other
substrates."
In addition to Ultra Marine Blue over Dark Green, Dibond is available in the following colors: White both sides,
Black over White, Hunter Red over Caution Yellow, Dark Bronze over Fine Silver, Brushed Silver over Fine
Silver, and Brushed Gold over Fine Silver.
Ultra Marine Blue over Dark Green Dibond will be introduced at GlobalShop 2006 March 26-28 in Orlando, Fla.
