New Digital Express High Speed Cutting System
MultiCam is pleased to announce the new Digital Express high speed digital registration, routing and knife
cutting system. Companies looking for a versatile, affordable platform that can register, route and knife cut at
high speed will appreciate the affordable price point of the Digital Express.
The Digital Express is available in a range of table sizes from 60” X 60” to 80” X 120” with a high flow vacuum
table standard. Router options are available from 2.7 HP to 5.5 HP with spindle speeds up to 50,000 RPM.
Up to three knife cutting heads can be configured with quick change cartridge options which include high
frequency oscillating, drag knife, kiss cutting, rotary knife and creasing wheel. Digital Express features also
include an all steel, stress relieved, precision machined base frame with 25mm linear bearings in the X and Y
axes. All axes are driven by brushless digital AC servo motors with maximum rapid traverse speeds of 3,400
IPM (86.0 M/min).
The MultiVision digital registration system is standard on all Digital Express machines. MultiVision is a digital
camera/software based system that can visually recognize media registration marks and automatically
compensate for skew, distortion and image drift. New high-speed fiducial capture software significantly reduces
the time required to read registration marks and improves finished product throughput.
