3M Guarantees Performance of Digital Media with HP Designjet
L65500 Printer Series
The Commercial Graphics Division of diversified technology company 3M today announced that a broad range
of digital films and graphic protection are now guaranteed for use with HP’s Designjet L65500 printer series and
HP original Latex Inks. As an existing HP Registered Latex Developer this advancement provides European
converters using or interested in buying the Designjet L65500 with peace of mind that they will generate
outstanding results for diverse indoor and outdoor large-format digital print applications.

3M’s digital films and overlaminates have been designed and engineered to work consistently with the above
print platforms. Comprehensive diagnostic testing ensures that they are free of media induced artifacts that can
cause misprints and that they adhere to recommended substrates.
Extensive testing of printers and inks with 3M graphic films and overlaminates is conducted according to the
material combinations used in the applications specified by 3M. To qualify for the Performance Guarantee, the
films must be installed according to 3M recommendations. The warranty guarantees customers that printed 3M
films will perform as specified and can rest assured that they are compatible with a specific ink on a specific printer.
