Avery Dennison & Grafix Solutions Provide Wrap for Giant Puzzle Cube
for Destination ImagiNation 2009 Global Finals
For a second consecutive year, Avery Dennison Graphics & Reflective Products Division has donated more
than 7,000 square feet of MPI 2120 Matte Permanent vinyl to the 2009 Destination ImagiNation Global Finals,
the world’s largest creative problem solving program for kids.
The conference will host more than 1,000 teams of elementary and middle-school age children from around the
globe, who will participate in problem-solving challenges that promote teamwork, creative thinking and personal
fitness. The 2009 Destination ImagiNation Global Finals will run from May 20-23, 2009, at the University of
Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn.
"The competition offers children the opportunity to challenge their minds in a fun, interactive way while also
building their leadership skills," said Tom Durner, manager of strategic alliances for the Avery Dennison Graphics
and Reflective Products Division. "We were happy to donate Avery Graphics MPI 2120 vinyl to Grafix Solutions
again for this year’s Destination ImagiNation Global Finals. Our donation reflects Avery Dennison's commitment to
helping young students develop creative problem solving skills, learn teamwork and build leadership skills."
Grafix Solutions in Sayreville, NJ, printed graphics on Avery High Performance Calendered MPI 2120 Matte vinyl
and wrapped 125 individual cubes that will be used in the annual Power Cube Challenge. The Challenge is part
of the Global Finals’ closing ceremony, which will take place on Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 7:30 p.m. at the
Thompson Boling Arena on the campus of the University of Tennessee in Knoxville, Tenn. During the closing
ceremony, teams of children from across the world will assemble the 15-by-15-by-15 foot puzzle cube for the
Global Final’s National Dairy Council’s Fuel Up Challenge.
