Aurora Specialty Textile Group, Inc. Adds Three New Products to its
Printable Textile Line
Aurora Adds Premium Poplin FR to its Northern Lights Printable Textiles™ Line and RePlay2™ / RePlay2™ FR to
its Weaves of Green™ Line of Recycled Fabrics
Aurora Specialty Textiles Group Inc. announced today the addition of Premium Poplin FR to its Northern
Lights Printable Textiles™ line. Premium Poplin FR is engineered to be compatible with inkjet UV and
Dye-Sub transfer print technologies. Made of 100% polyester and constructed in a tight poplin weave,
Premium Poplin FR weights 5.8 oz/sqyd and is 14 mils thick. The FR treatment meets the NFPA 701
flammability standard. Premium Poplin FR is available in 60” and 120” widths by 100 yard rolls.
Adding to its Weaves of Green™ line of recycled printable textiles, Aurora launches RePlay2™ and RePlay2™ FR.
Made from 100% post consumer polyester, RePlay2™ and RePlay2™ FR are a light weight 4.6 oz/sqyd poplin
like weave, with a smooth bright white finish. Both are compatible with inkjet UV and Dye-Sub transfer print
technologies. RePlay2™ FR is treated to meet NFPA 701 flammability standard. Both RePlay2™ and RePlay2™
FR are available in 60” and 120” widths by 100 yard rolls. RePlay2™ and RePlay2™ FR join Act II™ and Act II™
FR in Aurora’s “green” line of recycled options.
“What’s exciting about our Weaves of Green™ textiles is that when coupled with our Fabrecycle™ program our
customers can keep the recycle chain going. All they have to do is send us their scrap or discarded prints from
Aurora’s line of 100% polyester textiles. We will place this back into the recycle stream where it can be made
into other useful products such as carpet padding and filler insulation.” said Mike Richardson, Director of
