Seiko I Infotech ColorPainter H-74s Mild Solvent Printer Now Shipping
Seiko Instruments USA is pleased to announce that the new ColorPainter™ H-74s mild solvent inkjet printers are
now shipping to dealers and end-users throughout North and South America.
The ColorPainter H-74s joins the ColorPainter H-104s as part of SIIT’s H-series of high-performance, mild solvent
printers. The new H-74s offers similar performance and features as the ColorPainter H-104s, but offers a smaller
footprint. Pat Ryan, General Manager of Seiko Instruments USA’s Infotech Division, states, "The new
ColorPainter H-74s printer is the highest performance 64” – 74” outdoor sign and banner printer in the world
today, and was specifically designed as an upgrade path for owners of older 54” – 72” solvent printers that want
faster throughput. The H-74s offers a unique balance of raw speed (291 – 1,076 sfph depending on
configuration, which is 3x to 6x faster than existing printers at comparable resolution/passes) and excellent
720 dpi image quality." The new H-74s printers have a MSRP of $59,999.95, and are available through
authorized ColorPainter distributors.
The ColorPainter H-series printers come in two widths: 104” (Model: H-104s) and 74” (Model: H-74s). Each
printer features 8 new high-frequency piezo inkjet heads which offer true 720 x 720 dpi resolution. The super-
wide inkjet heads are capable of jetting multiple drops on a single location without slowing down, to create
maximum ink density levels. The new ColorPainter H-Series printers also incorporate Smart Pass Technology,
True MonoChrome printing, automatic head height adjustments, rack & pinion takeup, large 1.5 liter ink packs,
and optional air filtration systems.
The new ColorPainter H-104s and H-74s will be demonstrated at the upcoming Graphics of the Americas show
in Miami, and the upcoming ISA show in Las Vegas.
