Canon U.S.A. Honored with MFP Line of the Year and Six Pick Awards
For the sixth time since 2000, Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging solutions, has received the
prestigious MFP Line of the Year award from Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI), as well as six additional Pick of the
Year awards for the imageRUNNER, imagePROGRAF and imageCLASS lines.
Awarded once a year, the MFP Line of the Year is bestowed upon the vendor whose product line is determined
the best overall based on the cumulative test results from BLI’s rigorous, two-month laboratory evaluation.
During the testing and selection process, among the many factors considered are reliability, image quality,
productivity, connectivity attributes as well as the breadth of each vendor’s line and its solutions.
In addition to the MFP Line of the Year, Canon received six Pick of the Year awards for the imagePROGRAF
iPF820 in Wide Format, the imageRUNNER 3245i for Segment 4 Monochrome MFP, the imageRUNNER 3225
for Segment 2 Monochrome MFP, the imageRUNNER 3235i for Segment 3 Monochrome MFP, the Color
imageRUNNER C2550 for Segment 2 Business Color MFP, and the Color imageCLASS 9170c for Small
Workgroup Color Multifunction Printer.

its comprehensive and user-friendly MFP product line. BLI testing showed that Canon’s MFP line offers the
highest levels of reliability, quality and user-friendliness.
Canon imagePROGRAF iPF820 - BLI’s Pick for Wide Format of the Year
Introduced earlier this year, this 44-inch, dual-roll, wide-format printer was designed for the Geographical
Information System (GIS) market; Computer-Aided Design (CAD); Architecture, Engineering, and Construction
(AEC); Reprographics; and other Technical Document markets. The iPF820 is capable of printing two
full-density D/A1-sized (23.4 inches × 33.1 inches) color plots in less than a minute, and finishes E/A0-sized
(33.1 inches × 46.8 inches) plots in just 45 seconds including cutting time, and is capable of producing
117 D/A1-sized plots per hourI. The iPF820 offers true 1200 dots-per-inch (dpi) resolution printing with 0.02
mm minimum line widthII, precise ±0.1% line accuracy, and a large printing area with only 3 mm (0.12") of

which allows for faster processing and support for more sophisticated features, the imageRUNNER 3245i
produces letter-sized output at up to 45 pages-per-minute and is MEAP (Multifunctional Embedded Application
