WIFAG Polytype Group acquires L&P and Spuhl Digital Technologies
WIFAG Polytype Group announced the acquisition of L&P Digital Technologies (USA) and Spuhl Digital
Printing (Switzerland) from Leggett & Platt Inc. WIFAG Polytype, headquartered in Berne, Switzerland, is
well-known in the graphics industry globally with more than 100 years of experience in manufacturing printing
presses. As a leading supplier of high-end rotary offset presses for newspapers (WIFAG), container decorating
equipment for the food, cosmetics and packaging industry (Polytype) and as a supplier of consumables and
equipment for the graphics industry (WIFAC), the WIFAG Polytype Group is synonymous with Swiss quality,
innovation, productivity, and reliability.
WIFAG Polytype Group acquired L&P Digital Technologies/Spuhl Digital Printing business, products, technology,
know-how and staff and will integrate this activity as a new division of the WIFAG Polytype Group under the
name WP Digital AG in Switzerland. WP Digital AG will continue the development, sales and service of the
former Spuhl digital printers and distribute these products via its subsidiaries Polytype America Corp. and
Polytype Asia Pacific. The service and customer support of the Leggett & Platt printers in North America will
be continued by Polytype America Corp.
