Sawgrass Technologies Introduces SubliMSystem for the EXD-900
Sublimation Printer
Sawgrass Technologies, a world leader in the development of on-demand digital imaging technologies, has
introduced the EXD-900, a compact 42” inkjet printer geared for desktop users looking to enter the
production-level sublimation market at a lower price point.
Compact and easy to use, the EXD-900 features a “wide model” print head with 360 nozzles per color for high
resolution output up to 720x1440 dpi. Developed for use with Sawgrass’ SubliM sublimation ink, the four-color
ink configuration achieves superior line sharpness, true photo-quality continuous tones, smooth transitions and
a wide color gamut. The printer offers multiple resolutions for enhanced control of output for high quality or high
speed output. Users can take advantage of Easy-fill Cartridges that provide the cleanliness and control of a
closed system with the cost effectiveness of a bulk ink system. The EXD-900 has an optional Take Up Reel
that prevents head strikes during high speed/high density jobs and enables production speeds up to 233 sf/hr.
Additionally, ICC profiles work with RIP software to achieve perfect color on hard and soft substrates (RIP sold
separately.)
