GTI: Staying Ahead of the Color Curve

GTI Graphic Technology, Inc. has been designing and manufacturing critical color viewing and inspection 
systems since 1975 and is known for having the most accurate rendition of D50 daylight standards 
commercially available.  While their ability to design and manufacture Color Image Viewing and Color Matching 
and Appearance Systems for their loyal and valued customers has not changed in 30 years, there have been 
fundamental technological changes in the production workflow for both color images and all colored materials.  

Digital tools, in particular new display technologies that deliver highly accurate and repeatable color gamut 
reproduction, are helping all color critical industries to reduce costs while maintaining high quality to stay 
competitive.  GTI has stayed ahead of the technological curve by focusing on customer needs as well as the 
integration of computer aided color viewing into color critical workflows.   

To reflect their ability to remain current and cutting edge in the Color Evaluation arena, the choice to come out 
with a new brand look for GTI seemed like the logical next step.  "Our new GTI logo and tagline will set the 
pace of our marketing efforts into the future," says Frederic McCurdy, President, GTI.  "We feel the tagline 
best describes what GTI is all about and coupled with the logo it will become the brand that represents the 
best choice for controlled color viewing products."

Ashworth Creative of Rhinebeck, N.Y., set to the task of incorporating the graphic with the precision that the 
GTI brand embodies.  Isaac Ashworth, Art Director on the project says, "GTI needed a look that would reflect 
their brand worldwide as the leader in precision color evaluation. It was important to keep it clean, 
straightforward, and timeless."
