Digital Solutions Cooperative Prepares for Largest Annual Conference
in its History
Chicago, Illinois - The Digital Solutions Cooperative (Dscoop) heads to San Diego for its third Annual Conference,
poised to host one of the highest attended worldwide digital cooperative events in history. The event will take
place February 21-23 at the San Diego Marriott Hotel and Marina.
Founded in 2005, Dscoop is a dynamic, independent, user-driven community of HP Indigo press owners and
their sales, marketing and production teams. The organization’s annual conference brings together the user
community and HP executives, representatives and partners from all over the world to facilitate knowledge
sharing and networking among event participants. The 2008 conference program boasts first-hand access to
renowned industry experts including Vyomesh “VJ” Joshi, executive vice president, HP Imaging and Printing
Group, along with his team. It is the first event to assemble the highest-ranking HP digital imaging executives
with Indigo users in a social, educational and cooperative environment.
"HP is absolutely thrilled at how quickly Dscoop has grown the past three years. The organization has evolved
to be one of the best sources of practitioner-driven information and support for companies in the digital printing
industry. We hear everyday how HP Indigo owners and users truly benefit from the education and networking
that Dscoop provides. There is nothing like it in our industry. We are proud to be the executive sponsor of
Dscoop and can't wait to attend the 2008 conference," said Francis McMahon, Director of Marketing, HP
U.S. Graphic Arts.
Since its inaugural event in 2006, the Dscoop Conference has attracted the best industry players. Over its history,
the event has experienced tremendous growth from 300 attendees in 2006 to more than 1,000 pre-registered for
2008; a figure that already represents an increase of more than 40 percent over 2007 attendance. The 2008
event features more than 70 education sessions and a sold-out Solutions Showcase exhibition where 55
industry partners will showcase the latest software solutions, substrates, and technologies.
"This event promises monumental attendance, despite it being a Drupa year," said Chris Petro, conference
chairperson and president of Global Soft Digital Solutions. "Our focus this year has been to offer a conference
that provides our membership prime educational opportunities, the most highly recognized suppliers and key
industry announcements all in a cooperative environment that draws our partners and members together. As
an added bonus, attendees will get top-notch entertainment in a beautiful location. The digital output industry
has never seen an event of this magnitude!"
