Textile Inks
Wilmington, DL, Jan. 18, 2008 - DuPont Digital Printing, an industry leader in the development and manufacture
of digital inks, showcased its full line of DuPont Artistri inks for digital direct-to-textile printing at the Imprinted
Sportswear Show (ISS), Jan. 18-20, 2008 in Long Beach, Calif., (Booth 2110). As announced in October 2007,
Artistri digital ink technology, previously available only as part of the DuPont Artistri digital printing for textiles
system, will now be available broadly through select OEM partners and others.
"We are very excited to present our total ink portfolio to visitors at ISS and to showcase how these well-proven
inks have demonstrated commercial success, day after day, in multiple textile applications," said Michael
Lazzara, business manager, Artistri. "Our Artistri P5000 ink set for direct-to-garment printing is particularly well
suited to the ISS audience due to the outstanding white ink and process colors that deliver rich, long-lasting
color."
DuPont has leveraged a long history in textiles together with its core competencies in ink, polymer and color
technologies to provide inks that are robust and reliable in a production environment for applications like apparel,
swimwear, silk accessories, home furnishings, flags and banners and trade show graphics.
Artistri inks are specially designed for direct-to-garment and roll-to-roll digital printing on a wide variety of fabric
types for printers using piezo-electric print heads. Our aqueous based acid dye, disperse dye, reactive dye
and pigment inks are formulated with the same colorants as in traditional screen printing and provide brilliant
colors, sharp image quality and reliable jetting performance.
The comprehensive Artistri ink offering includes: Artistri 500 series acid dye inks designed for use in print heads
that require lower viscosity inks for applications on silk and nylon/elastane blends. Artistri P5000 series pigment
inks, including industry leading white ink, also designed for use in print heads that require lower viscosity for
printing on cotton or cotton rich blends for a wide variety of apparel and specialty applications. Artistri 700 series
acid, disperse and reactive dye as well as pigment inks designed for use in print heads that require medium
viscosity inks for printing on all popular textile materials for a wide range of applications.
The Digital Printing business unit is part of the Imaging Technologies division of DuPont and focuses on
providing color any way you want it through technology, products and services for many digital printing
applications, packaging graphics solutions, ink jet ink, specialty colorants, authentication products, and display
enhancements.
