Leggett and Platt Company - 10/23/2007
L&P Digital Technologies’ Virtu®130 DirectUV, Greater Color Saturation
and Ink Savings up to $240,000/year
(Sunrise, FL USA) - Leggett & Platt Digital Technologies’ Virtu®130 DirectUV, the revolutionary direct-to-textile
digital printer, is now available in grande format. Designed for high volume production for textile manufacturers,
the Virtu®130 DirectUV generates considerable cost savings over all direct-to-textile digital and dye sublimation
printers. With ink printing costs at just pennies a square foot, manufacturers find typical annual ink cost savings
of $60,000-$240,000 depending on usage. Additional time, material and labor savings are realized with the Virtu’s
faster, more efficient textile printing process and the ability to print to a wide variety of uncoated polyester and
poly/cotton textiles without transfer paper.
The Virtu®130 DirectUV prints with significantly greater color saturation that penetrates deep into the nap of the
textile. Finished products are unparalleled with exceptional colorspace and intricate detail; and, it makes printing
on higher nap, softer and thicker textile products possible. Printed fabrics have greater "crock" or rub-out
resistance, retain their "soft hand" and meet world flammability standards.
A high volume, industrial printer designed for textile manufacturers, the Virtu® DirectUV prints at up 1500 sqft/hr.
A dual-roll feed option further increases productivity. "Herculean" built for years of printing at top production
speeds, the Virtu® is known not only for its superior technological performance, but also for generating substantial
savings for enhanced cost management and competitive pricing. A flatbed option is available for printing dye-
sublimatable rigids to 2.5 inches thick.
