Océ Introduces Océ CS9060 High Quality Indoor / Outdoor Eco-Solvent
Inkjet Printer
Sept. 10, 2007 - Chicago - Océ, a global leader in digital document management and delivery solutions, today
introduced the Océ CS9060 high quality eco-solvent inkjet printer for creating indoor and outdoor display graphics
prints. The Océ CS9060 printer is on display in the Océ Wide Format Printing Division booth #4463 at Graph
Expo in Chicago, September 9-12, 2007.
The Océ CS9060 printer is ideal for customers entering the digital printing market or companies that are already
active in this market and want to expand their production capacity. The Océ CS9060 printer is also an excellent
solution for corporate in-house production of exhibition graphics, posters, signage, billboards, etc. It is designed
for light production environments where high quality output and outdoor durability are required. Sample
applications include point-of-purchase displays, transit advertising, exhibit graphics, banners, museum graphics,
wayfinding and window displays.
High Quality Output, Production Print Speeds and Easy to Use Anywhere
The Océ CS9060 printer is an affordable, high quality, environmentally safe and easy-to-use system that offers
indoor and outdoor versatility.
The Océ CS9060 printer accepts roll media up to 64 inches wide and can print on a variety of paper, vinyl, textile
and film media. Coated and uncoated media can be used for indoor and short- to mid-term outdoor applications.
Addressable print resolutions range from 720 x 720 dpi to 1440 x 1440 dpi. In Production Plus print mode at 720 x
720 dpi, print speeds of up to 166 square feet per hour can be achieved.
Eco-solvent inks provide the outdoor benefits of solvent inks while enabling usage of the Océ CS9060 printer in
a regular office or small print shop environment. Eco-solvent inks do not require the addition of air purification
systems recommended for low-solvent inks or major building ventilation modifications required for full-solvent inks.
The eco-solvent inks used in the Océ CS9060 offer an outdoor durability of up to three years without lamination.
The Océ CS9060 printer provides outdoor printing with the simplicity of an aqueous indoor printer. Operator
maintenance takes only five minutes per week.
Superior Print Quality through Advanced Print Technologies
The Océ CS9060 printer offers superior print quality and ink economy through the use of Océ CS9000
VariaDotTM imaging technology and WAVE Stitching print modes.
Océ CS9000 VariaDot imaging technology produces dots with variable drop sizes to deliver finer details,
smoother gradients and sharper images. The use of Océ CS9000 VariaDot imaging technology with four color
inks results in 25 to 35 percent less ink usage when compared to the ink usage of six color printers using fixed
dot inkjet technology.
WAVE Stitching prints in ‘waves’ instead of straight bands, resulting in higher print quality, improved productivity
and increased media versatility. WAVE Stitching enables the Océ CS9060 to produce prints with consistent
quality in production print modes, even when more demanding media are used. The level of banding in
production print modes is greatly reduced, rivaling the quality of many full solvent printers in High Quality mode.
Océ CS9000 Series Printers
The Océ CS9060 joins the Océ CS9000 Series printers, which includes models Océ CS9060, Océ CS9065 and
Océ CS9090. The Océ CS9060 printer is 64 inches wide and uses eco-solvent inks only. The Océ CS9065
printer is 65 inches wide and uses either eco-solvent or low-solvent inks. The Océ CS90690 printer is 90 inches
wide and uses either eco-solvent or low-solvent inks. Low-solvent inks offer added chemical and abrasion
resistance for more demanding outdoor jobs such as vehicle wraps.
