Kerfkore Company Announces New Foamkore-Green

Kerfkore Company, an environmentally friendly manufacturer of patented bendable substrates and lightweight
panel products, is proud to announce its new Foamkore-Green. Foamkore-Green is constructed with a
eucalyptus fiber face and back attached to a lightweight polystyrene core. This panel produces a NAF product
made from reclaimed and recycled materials.

This product incorporates recycled materials into the manufacturing process to help reduce the impact of using
virgin materials. Also polystyrene has no added formaldehyde. Foamkore-Green can contribute to LEED credit
points for MR 4.1, MR 4.2, and EQ 4.4.The LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) green
building rating system is the accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance
green buildings.

Foamkore-Green is a lightweight cost-effective alternative to traditional panels that features a polystyrene foam
core and thin face materials. It is ideally suited for a wide range of applications and consists of a balanced
constructed foam board that provides a structural panel with up to 80% reduced weight when compared to
conventional panels of plywood, particleboard and MDF. Panels can weigh as little as 12 oz. per square foot.
Panels can accept a variety of edging options including edge capture, edge insert, outer edge band, edge
banding, and corner post. Panels are laminated with special glue that results in greater moisture resistance.

Kerfkore Company Introduces New Flexboard Literature

Kerfkore Company, a manufacturer of patented bendable substrates and panel products, just released new
literature on its Flexboard, a bendable substrate with a hardboard face that can be formed first and laminated last.

Flexboard is a low-cost alternative to bending plywood for radius fabrication that provides 10-inch radius
fabrication quickly and easily with no sanding, patching, multiple layers, special installation, or odor. Flexboard
reduces cost, scrap, and weight and can be used for radius applications as vast as one’s imagination. It can
be bent and attached to a ribbed frame easily with staples and nails.

Flexboard is an eco friendly product with a NAF face material and core made from 100% recovered and recycled
fiber content. Available in nominal, 4’ X 8’, and 8’ X 4’ sizes with a particleboard, MDF, or plywood core and
a .080 thick hardboard face, its hardboard surface is ideal for painting or laminating paper, vinyl, veneer, HPL,
and metal. Flexboard is calibrated for uniform thickness throughout the manufacturing process. Consistent
thickness results in excellent seam hiding qualities without filling or sanding, its seaming abilities allow for easy
splicing in both the vertical and horizontal direction. Flexboard’s substrate allows for repeatable symmetrical
bending. Its stable hardboard face allows the attachment of face veneer materials, by use of hot or cold press,
and then bending into the desired shape.

The literature also contains detailed product specifications, which include Flexboard product descriptions,
product characteristics, core options, bending capabilities, product classifications and dimensions, as well as
recommendations regarding adhesives, temperature conditioning, laminating pressure, handling, and storage.

color literature on FlexGreen, an environmentally friendly product that can be used for radius applications as vast
as one’s imagination. It offers designers, specifiers, and manufacturers a quality bendable product that is better
for the environment and one’s health.

According to the literature, FlexGreen is ideally suited for producing stable architectural panels. The face, core,
and glue used contain no added formaldehyde so the entire product is free of any added formaldehyde. The
face is made from FSC certified Eucalyptus fiber hardboard attached to a particleboard substrate core that is
made from 100% recovered and recycled fiber. FlexGreen contributes to LEED credit points for MR 4.1, MR
4.2, and EQ 4.4.

Environmentally friendly FlexGreen allows for normal fabrication methods of attaching to a rigid structure and
then application of face material. It is designed to bend down to a 10" radius prior to lamination. Due to its
stable hardboard face, it is possible to laminate a single-ply veneer or other thin materials directly to the
hardboard by use of a cold or hot press. This process will result in a bending radius of 16" and 18". FlexGreen
is available in a choice of 48" X 96", 96" X 48", 48" X 120", and 120" X 48" size, all X ¾" thickness, and it
